If anyone had told me it would be an entire year between entries on this blog, I never would have believed it…..okay, I might have believed it…….okay, I know me. I knew it was a possibility when I said I was going to start posting a blog. But I was hopeful. However, life happens. And like the roller coaster this blog is named after, life goes up….and it goes down…….sometimes WAAAAAYYYYY down.
So, yeah, I’ve been under repairs for about a year. I apologize to all those who may have run across this blog and decided to follow or subscribe to it, then heard nothing from me for so long. I guess the good news is that I didn’t die. 🙂 However, in a sense, that’s not entirely true. Lord Jesus Himself said, “I assure you: Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces a large crop.” (John 12:24) And in an excellent message, the Associate Pastor at my church spoke on seasons in our lives, and how seasons of loss and death must and will come around to make way in our lives for new life. (You can check out that message HERE if you like. It’s REALLY good!!) So, I guess you could say I’ve been through a death season. A season of reparation, reconstruction, and rebuilding. The good thing is that repairs fix things. Repairs get rid of the weak spots and make things better and stronger. (Six million dollar man, anyone?)
Anyway, I’m back now. Funny that it’s been a year to the day since my last blog was posted. I wonder if God’s done that for any particular reason? Maybe one day, He’ll tell me. But until then, I just have to pray that I’ll have the fortitude to give you a post each week. That’s my goal, anyway. I would appreciate your prayers that I am able to stick with that. And I thank any and all of you who may have lifted me in prayer over this last year. May God richly bless you for your thoughtfulness.
Okay, folks. Buckle up and hold on. I believe the ride is going to be better than ever!
